Whoever pitched the idea of binding together giant trampolines into an obstacle course on top of the water must have sounded totally crazy. But we really appreciate their courage right now, because Houston's very own wild waterpark, Altitude H2O, is now back open for business.
From the hurdle to the half pipe to the giant cliff, everything is inflatable style and oh, so much more fun than boring old monkey bars. And the best part is that you're gonna actually want to fall off these courses to get some cool relief from the Texas sun in the 30-feet deep water.
Each obstable course session is 45 minutes, including a 15 minute orientation on safety and rules. We can't promise the safety seminar will be as fun as Michael Scott hopping off a roof onto a trampoline though.
It's $20 for a single session, and $30 for two sessions. Now that sounds like a deal!
During these sessions, you can be sure to bounce around on the inflatable obstacles. Then, when you're wiped out, you can enjoy wading in the open swim area.
The inflatable floating park is divided into four stages featuring the following obstacles:
- Rodeo Slide
- Wiggle Bridge (sounds promising)
- Balance Beam
- Monkey Bars
- Cliff Dome
- Half Pipe
But if you're not down for the whole falling-off-into-the-water thing, you can sit on the beach and relax for free!
There are even food and drinks inside the park for you to rejuvinate with after a long day of bouncing. But you can also bring your own and have a picnic.
Everyone must wear a cute little life jacket, sign a waiver, and anyone under 18 must get parental permission before participating.
