Petting zoos are always filled with tons of adorable animals but most of the time they are just for children. Luckily for us, Texas has a pretty farm where people of all ages are allowed to join in the fun. Preston Trail Farm near Dallas allows you to hang out with the cutest animals year round!
The farm focuses on only having the sweetest local farm animals so it is not likely that you'll find anything from out of state but you will find the cutest baby goats and massive longhorns. Petting the animals isn't the only thing you can do on the farm - they also allow guests to feed the animals while they're there.
Once you're done playing with the animals, you can hang out at their cute cafe. They have all of your traditional breakfast favorites but they also have burgers and catfish for lunch and dinner. Entry to the farm is free but only when it's not pumpkin season. During the fall, the gorgeous farm has a massive pumpkin patch that you can pick a pumpkin from and take pictures in.
Guests can visit the farm any day of the week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and they can stop at the cafe from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. During the fall, admission is $8 during the week and $10 during the weekend. During the weekend, you can also ride their farm train for an extra layer of fun.
