From beachfront cottages to a western style teepees, there is definitely no shortage of great places to stay in Florida - and believe it or not, there are even treehouses. Longboat Key has a treetop paradise on its own private island for a remarkably reasonable price.
According to the information posted on Glamping Hub, the oceanfront treehouse is elevated 18 feet off the ground on a private island. It is equipped with everything needed to accommodate up to 20 guests. There are six bedrooms, five bathrooms, a half bathroom, and one living room and kitchen. Unlike a large blocky house, these rooms are all interconnected by covered walkways with water views from all rooms.
In addition to the comfortable living spaces, there are plenty of options for entertainment included in your stay. There is a 70" TV, a dock, hot tub, grill, basketball and volleyball court, three kayaks, two paddleboards, snorkeling gear and fins, floating rafts, four fishing rods, crab traps, a 24-inch pontoon, and a net for bait fishing.
Did we mention it's pet-friendly too? Check out some photos below:
The cost per night starts at $1,508.86. Divided between 20 people (think your next family reunion) it's about $80 a night per person - that's less than most motels per night!
There is no way to access the island except by boat, so renting a boat from a local vendor is necessary.
