Although it definitely hasn't always been feeling like it recently, Canadian summer is right around the corner. As the ‘official’ summer starts on Friday June 21, people are getting ready to celebrate the sun with free ice cream in Toronto on Thursday.
Despite the snowstorm seen today in Alberta, companies across the country are getting ready to celebrate the start of summer this week, and Nestlé Canada is no different. According to a press release that was published this afternoon, Nestlé Canada will be celebrating the unofficial kick-off to summer by giving away free frozen treats to Torontonians to remind them that summer is still on its way, even if it doesn’t feel like it!
Lisa Beausoleil, who is the Vice-President of Marketing at Nestlé Canada, said "Torontonians love ice cream and what better way to kick off summer than with the iconic brands they love.” She invited Toronto residents to join their Nestlé team at Yonge and Dundas Square to sample some new products from a selection of Canada’s favourite brands.
Beausoleil also said “Nothing says summertime more than getting outside and enjoying your favourite frozen treat in the middle of the day!"
Nestlé Canada will be distributing an assortment of their completely free frozen treat samples tomorrow (Thursday, June 20) at Yonge and Dundas Square in Toronto.
They will be sampling Canadian-favourite brands such as Häägen-Dazs, Drumstick, KIT KAT Frozen Desserts Bars and Goodnorth between 11 AM and 1 PM or until supplies last, which we are guessing won't be too long!
Head downtown tomorrow to pick up a delicious and free frozen treat just in time for the ‘official’ start of summer, even if it is raining!
