If there's one good thing about living in the Prairies rather than the city, it's the amount of beautiful, open space to host insanely cool events. Especially when it starts to get colder, the exhibits tend to get even bigger and better. Trust us when we say that this exhibit coming to Edmonton is one of the coolest you'll ever see.
Over twenty-five million pounds of ice and hundreds of LED lights are being installed to create an unbelievably gorgeous display of ice sculptures and castles. Rivalling any other Christmas spectacle you have on your bucket list. Seriously, these things look like they're straight out of a Disney movie!
The exhibit will only be hitting one Canadian city, though. Considering the exhibit is run by a company called Ice Castles that is based out of Utah, most of their planned locations are in the United States. The one Canadian city they'll be hitting is none other than Edmonton, AB!
That's right - Edmonton is officially the only Canadian destination for this incredible event, for the fourth year in a row. Once again, it will be called The Edmonton Ice Castle in Hawrelak Park.
While the website for the exhibit hasn't been updated since last season, it's been confirmed that the event will be coming back for another year. But, exact details on the event's opening day haven't been made public just yet. As of now, many expect the event to open around the same time it did last year, which was January 5th.
To stay updated on the event with regard to dates and ticket availability, you can visit the event's website. So you know exactly when you can grab tickets and start the countdown for your ultimate ice castle adventure!
